Color, Trend & Concept Design

As an apparel designer at BDA, I designed the above collection for Seattle Kraken. Before starting the collection, I looked at runway trend and created a inspiration board. From there, we chose the styles, decorated them out, and worked with our manufacturers to produce them. Color matching the team colors was a big part of the process. I loved how the American heritage style came out, and it was a blast seeing these styles on customers around the city.

I’ve worked with some incredible brands throughout my career. I love designing products best-selling products that meet the needs of the customers and clients, and seeing them in-store and on end users, and reading reviews when the product finally goes live after a year of development.

I designed seasonal collections for Orange Theory fitness, where the focus was on providing high quality performance apparel that elevated the client’s brand.

New York Islanders was another one of the clients I worked with at BDA, creating a custom line of apparel for their team store. We added texture to the collection by using elevated details including rubber patches, jock tags, chenille patches, and graphic appliques. The collection included tees, fleece, light-weight outerwear, denim, and yarn dyed flannels.

This collection for F45 was a portfolio project as part of my application to BDA. The collection features performance fabrics decorated with foil taping and graphics to add a futuristic look. I included a range of pants styles to fit different body types. The last look is intended as an over-layer for wearing to and from the gym— the perfect athleisure pants to keep you comfortable all day.

REI brought me on to develop their print assortment. They use their nature inspired prints across many categories, sharing fabrics where possible to cover minimums.

The crowning achievement of my career so far has been developing my own line of socks, which I sold at Nordstrom and Anthropologie and as a top 1% Etsy seller. I build the business from scratch to managing a team and coordinating with manufacturers, 3rd party logistics, and national sales reps.

Shein had a program working with independent designers, and I developed for them this collection of colorful Y2K inspired dresses.

I worked with US Army licensed apparel to develop graphic tees, performance outerwear, sweaters, and bottoms.

At Macy’s, I designed knits and sweaters for the Mens INC team, including developing the graphics and custom trims.

I worked with the Mens team at Macy’s to develop a new brand, Slade Wilder to compete in the American Heritage market.

The above graphics were part of the brand launch for the Slade Wilder collection at Macy’s.

I developed a line of high-contrast performance sunglasses for pilots, Cloudbase Optics, a best seller at Sporty’s Pilot Shop
